McCoy’s Image Studio is owned and operated by W. L. and Suzann McCoy. The studio has been in operation since 1978. Since that time, the McCoy’s have expanded the studio from a local portrait and wedding business to a studio that serves clientele from coast to coast in areas of portrait, wedding, commercial illustration and stock photography.

The award winning work of W. L. McCoy has been displayed in the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum in Oklahoma City and other venues including The White House. McCoy’s Image Studio received an Award of Excellence by the International Professional Photographers Guild for Innovation. His work has appeared in many national publications including Reader’s Digest Books, Ducks Unlimited, Sports Afield, Family Fun, People, Fish and Game Publications, Turkey Call, American Heritage, KC Publications, The National Park Service, Impact, and others.

In 2002, The National Park Service commissioned W. L McCoy to produce a limited edition print commemorating the addition of Knob Creek Lincoln Boyhood Home into the National Park Service. Since that time three other images from the park have been made into limited edition prints.

The studio’s commercial clients have included: Jerry’s Restaurants, City Café, Compact Excavator, Johnson & Johnson, Dow Corning, Gates Rubber, Coors Brewing, Kentucky Heritage Products, Ambrake, AP Technoglass, Tekno, and others.

W. L. McCoy is a graduate of Georgetown College and holds a BS degree in Environmental Science and Art. W. L. also completed a Master of Theology (MTh) from Campbellsville University and is a licensed minister.

Suzann McCoy, wife of W.L., is the manager of the studio. Suzann works closely with clients and keeps things organized. Suzann holds a BS degree from Georgetown College in Home Economics and Art.

Our Customer Service Representative is Claudette Rateau, who has been with our studio for more than 25 years. Claudette works with our Portrait Clients, works in photoshop, and is our portrait retoucher.

Dustin Henderson is in charge of computer technology and assistant photographer. He is an expert in Photoshop and serves as our Wedding photographer.

McCoy’s Image Studio provides clients with a wide range of services including sensitive portraits of families and children, contemporary wedding photography: both traditional and photo-journalistic styles, contemporary and classic portraiture of high school seniors, digital copy and restoration, and a variety of commercial photographic applications. Our many years of service have given the studio a depth of expertise that cannot be matched. With the explosion of new photographers on the scene today, it is especially critical that clients understand the true depth of knowledge and experience that makes a real professional. There is really no substitute.
